Anita Briem hails from Iceland. Anita Briem is a Icelandic actress. Her most well-known role is her role as Jane Seymour, the young female who becomes the third queen of Henry VIII on the television show The Tudors. Her acting career started at National Theater Iceland when she was 9 years old. In her native Iceland she appeared in several plays, radio shows and television programs as an emerging actress. After the age of 16, Briem moved to London where she was part of one of the productions for the theatre of the play Lenin in Love which was staged at The New End Theater. At 19 years of age, Briem was accepted at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and there she studied for the next three years. She obtained a degree in Drama and also won the John Barton Prize in the category of Scenic Fight.
